NR13: No Ripcord Celebrates 13 Years
Thirteen years ago today I published the first edition of No Ripcord. I say edition, because back then it was an irregular newsletter. Two days later, I sent this newsletter out to around 15 subscribers, most of whom were friends or coerced online acquaintances. Since then, with the notable exception of a nine month hiatus during my first year at university, No Ripcord has inched forward, gradually becoming the widely read and ever so slightly influential publication that it is today.
Over the course of the next week, we (it ceased to be a solo venture a long time ago) will be publishing a series of articles to tie in with our birthday celebrations. We hope you enjoy them and continue to support No Ripcord during its teenage years.
Finally, I would like to say a huge thanks to all staff members, past and present, for their time, energy, creativity and boundless enthusiasm – we wouldn't be what we are today without your amazing efforts. -- David Coleman, Editor-in-Chief
