A nascent though under-informed opinionated streak about music was deepened and enriched in college with 4 years plugging away announcing for WVFS Tallahassee, the way better than it had any reason to be student station at Florida State University. Post-collegiate ennui and lack of professional drive led to spells at failing but special physical record stores in Virginia such as the aptly named warehouse DJ's and the late, lamented independent Relative Theory Records. Itchiness to spread ill considered opinion about music, film and pop culture was sated by posting to the Relative Theory blog, eventually leading to occasionally more thoughtful contributions to No Ripcord. Also contributed blurbs on hip-hop releases to Norfolk's alternative weekly/yuppie lifestyle rag Port Folio. Currently film editor here, that is post poster for a great emergent team of passionate film writing talent.
